Safesite Fence was approached by the facilities department of a large site where they wants safety protection on areas on their multi storey car park which could be potential dangerous for people falling at height.
There were 2 sections for the job, one on a ramp and some ‘window’ sections. It was decided on 358 mesh in the window areas with bolt down off centre posts, due to the small apertures it is impossible to climb or cut making these areas safe whilst fitting in to the look of the car park.
On the ramp sections palisade was selected with the triple pointed tops making it difficult to climb. Bespoke posts were made to allow the palisade to be bolted onto the wall.
The car park could not be shut whilst works were carried out which detailed plans were worked before the project was started between the health and safety department and Safesite involving traffic management and night works.
The job was completed a week early with the comment that they wouldn’t even of know we were there when installing the fencing so no car park users were inconvenience when the works were being carried out.
